Compensation: $18.00 - $20.55 Per Hour based on qualifications and experience

Position Summary

The Custodial Services Specialist reports directly to the Custodial Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining cleanliness across various facilities, including shelters and community centers, as scheduled by the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Operate cleaning equipment such as Kaivac machines, vacuums, and industrial washers/dryers.
  2. Complete client request forms accurately.
  3. Ensure thorough cleaning of windows, doors, frames, handrails, and walls, utilizing sanitation equipment.
  4. Address spills and hazardous materials following safety protocols.
  5. Maintain and submit requests for equipment repairs and collaborate with maintenance staff.
  6. Support infection control measures and manage pest issues as necessary.
  7. Restock supplies in storage and cleaning closets regularly.
  8. Dispose of waste daily and assist with moving larger items.
  9. Handle cleaning agents in accordance with OSHA standards, using appropriate safety gear.
  10. Secure all storage areas and facilities.
  11. Train and supervise program participants in custodial tasks.
  12. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Custodial Services.
  13. Provide coverage for emergency shelters as required.
  14. Utilize tracking tools for work management.
  15. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial services.
  2. Ability to uphold high cleanliness standards.
  3. Physical capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds using proper techniques.
  4. Knowledge of safety regulations regarding cleaning agents and equipment.
  5. Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  6. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities throughout the workday.
  7. Skill in promoting infection control and managing pest situations effectively.
  8. Professional and respectful interaction with program residents.
  9. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  10. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
  11. Strong attention to detail.
  12. Possession of a valid Colorado Driver's License and compliance with background check requirements.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.55 Per Hour
