Maintenance Technician Job Summary

POAH Communities is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of our residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on all equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure a safe living environment.
  • Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repairs to maintain the integrity of our properties.
  • Inspect and coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services to ensure our apartments are ready for new residents.
  • Assist in keeping grounds neat and clean, including raking, sweeping, and shoveling as necessary.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call basis as necessary.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience in apartment maintenance.
  • High School diploma or GED required; HVAC certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and automobile insurance coverage.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Knowledge and skills in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
