Job Title: Applications Scientist

At DuBois Chemicals, we're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to our business. We're seeking an experienced Applications Scientist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide data from customer and internal samples using various equipment and instruments to gather data.
  • Perform testing on industrial lubricants, industrial cleaners, and conversion coating samples, including pH, conductivity, and wet chemical tests.
  • Adhere to lab safety protocols and conduct other testing as required.
  • Maintain work order turnaround within established metrics.
  • Maintain and keep logs for equipment certification, calibration, maintenance, and relevant standards.
  • Practice good lab procedures while focused on safety protocols.
  • Effectively prepare reports interpreting data gathered for customers.
  • Provide concise data for raw material evaluation and comparison.
  • Develop methods for testing and identification of specific chemicals, ions, or mixtures as requested.
  • Assist with sample receiving and distribution.
Requirements:
  • Technical, associate's, or college degree in chemistry, life science, or related field required.
  • 1+ years' experience in analytical, microbiological, or scientific laboratory preferred.
  • Experience with instrumentation and database management software preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail.
