We are offering multiple summer internship positions at a dynamic local news organization serving 16 communities in Southwestern CT. We seek enthusiastic and driven individuals who thrive in a vibrant yet demanding atmosphere. This is a chance to play a significant role and gain hands-on experience in shaping and executing strategic initiatives.

Meaningful Projects
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of our website and content. We will collaborate with you to identify which ongoing projects align best with your skills and interests.

Sample projects may include:

  • Conducting interviews and crafting engaging content
  • Developing and designing innovative website features
  • Performing market research to inform our strategies
  • Leveraging social media to enhance our public relations efforts
  • And much more

Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
  • Proficiency in common software applications
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Pursuing or holding a degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or a related field
  • Familiarity with public relations and social media platforms
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • A genuine passion for public relations, social media, and writing
  • A collaborative spirit and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to contribute creativity and innovation to projects
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Capacity to excel in asynchronous work settings and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Understanding of one’s role within the organization and readiness to take initiative
