- Installation and Repair: Install a wide variety of materials, including carpet, tile, roofing, cabinetry, drywall, plumbing, insulation, glass, electrical, and masonry, to replace worn or broken items and provide enhancements and upgrades.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to determine the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems.
- Maintenance and Repair: Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment to ensure availability in safe operating condition.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the ongoing functioning of facilities.
- Trade Functions: Perform a variety of semi-skilled trade functions, including plumbing, painting, HVAC, carpentry, locksmith, and others, to complete projects within established time frames.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
- Supply Transportation: Transport tools, equipment, and supplies to ensure the availability of materials required at the job site.
- Meetings and Communication: Attend meetings with site administrators, vendors, state inspectors, contractors, and others to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
