Job Title: Systems Engineer

Venture Global LNG is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the efficiency of our software supporting vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer applications, including user role provisioning and security guidelines.
  • Identify process gaps and collaborate with the business to gather requirements for enhancements or new developments.
  • Support unit testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing, ensuring well-documented test results.
  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and vendors to ensure seamless application support.
  • Participate in master data governance and ensure data alignment across related applications.
  • Monitor and govern integrations across assigned applications.
  • Oversee the integration of systems and data from vessel systems to corporate IT systems.
  • Triage and resolve integration problems as they arise.
  • Support the business with production issues, ensuring systems are online.
  • Liaise with vendors on application version enhancements, patches, and compliance with Venture Global patching policies.
  • Write application-specific administration SOPs.
  • Lead or participate in the design and development of complex software applications.
  • Provide technical insights and recommendations to ensure applications are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with the organization's long-term goals.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues and system outages.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of IT application experience, preferably in the Maritime industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of tools and technologies used to support vessel and crew activities.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience supporting SaaS applications and cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in supporting multiple applications, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and clearly communicate cross-functionally.
  • Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design.
  • Hands-on experience implementing simultaneous projects.
