Job Overview

OrthoAlaska LLC is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in a part-time capacity. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, take vital signs, and document patient visits in our electronic health record system.
  • Ensure exam rooms are stocked, cleaned, and maintained to provide a comfortable and safe environment for patients.
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to state laws.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and answering patient calls.
  • Report concerns to supervisors and participate in maintaining a professional and respectful work environment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of clinical experience as a medical assistant or completion of an externship in a medical office is preferred.
  • Certified medical assistant through the AAMA or registered medical assistant through the AMT is a plus.
