Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and corrects problems on machines and equipment
  • Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas

  • Works on equipment in ceiling of plant which is 25 to 30 feet in height
  • Dismantles machines
  • Moves heavy machinery and equipment
  • Assembles and installs equipment such as conveyors
  • Constructs foundation for machines
  • Aligns machines and equipment
  • Performs building maintenance as assigned including floor maintenance
  • Machine alignments (turret tool, rotary milling motor orient position and ball screw replacement)
  • Welding and fabrication
Requirements
  • Must have ability and experience to perform periodic maintenance inspections of conventional and CNC machinery and equipment
  • Must be experienced Industrial Repair-person with proven experience with machine tools
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures and prints
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Repair work involves heights up to 30 feet and handles material normally from 30 to 50 pounds. Work is dirty and greasy.
