Customer Service Representative

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at Michaels Stores.
This is a dynamic role that requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling all customer inquiries, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner, and providing exceptional service to our customers.
**Responsibilities:**
- Fielding all customer communication, including phone calls, emails, and chat requests.
- Entering manual orders as necessary to facilitate customer needs.
- Assisting with parcel tracking to ensure accurate delivery information is provided to customers.
- Informing the General Manager of recurring issues or abnormal service requests that require attention.
Administration & Quality Assurance:
- Addressing backorders and diverted orders to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Cancelling or deleting orders due to entry errors, stock availability, or other reasons, and communicating the updates to customers.
- Issuing store credits when necessary for unfulfilled orders.
- Reviewing daily recut lists and conducting customer callbacks to resolve any issues promptly.
- Informing Production Supervisors, QAC, and Management about customer feedback to expedite problem resolution.
Safety & Organization:
- Maintaining a clean workspace to ensure safe and efficient operations, including replenishing supplies as needed.
- FOLLOWING ALL COMPANY SAFETY POLICIES; WEARING APPROPRIATE SAFETY EQUIPMENT WHEN REQUIRED.
Requirements:
- A High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- At least 1 year of experience in customer service within a manufacturing environment.
- Critical thinking skills to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to count, match, and compare sequences of numbers.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit constantly and occasionally walk.
- Must be able to bend frequently from the waist.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 10lbs/4.5kg above shoulders and reach above head.
- Must be able to grasp with both hands occasionally.
- Must be able to comply with all safety-related standards and requirements, including the correct utilization of personal protective equipment.
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in high noise levels and around moving machinery.
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment subject to dust and varying temperatures.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Estimated Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 per year.
