Job DescriptionMain Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate activities of skilled trade workers engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment, structures, utility systems, buildings, and grounds.
- Supervise workers engaged in installing, servicing, and repairing mechanical equipment, as well as maintaining and repairing plant equipment, buildings, and facilities.
- Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
- Prepare work schedules and make work assignments to subordinates.
- Interpret company policy to employees and enforce company policy and practices.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist employees in solving work problems.
- Work on projects involving the construction of new buildings and facilities, as well as the alteration or modification of existing ones.
- Maintain production equipment in a manner that meets organization standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime.
- Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs and procedures.
- Administer training programs to ensure proper operations, preventive maintenance, and repair programs and procedures.
Requirements
- Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience.
- Must have experience in a poultry processing environment.
