Key Responsibilities
  1. Compliance and Patient Information: Ensure adherence to the Code of Conduct and compliance policies, obtaining all relevant medical information from patients to identify age-specific needs.
  2. Radiographic Procedures: Perform radiographic procedures with a focus on high technical quality, utilizing proper radiation protection measures to safeguard patients from excessive radiation exposure.
  3. Equipment Use and Maintenance: Demonstrate efficiency in using all equipment, promptly reporting any deficiencies to the immediate supervisor, and maintaining x-ray rooms between exams and at the end of shifts.
  4. Diagnostic Procedures and Workload Management: Conduct appropriate diagnostic procedures as ordered, assist Radiologists during procedures, and take on additional procedures during periods of heavy workload to maintain workflow efficiency.
  5. Documentation and Patient Preparation: Document any changes in patient condition using appropriate forms, obtain appropriate medical history before patient examination, and ensure patient readiness for the exam.
  6. Additional Duties and Safety Practices: Perform receptionist and Radiology Assistant duties when necessary, adhere to ALARA guidelines, and apply Universal Precautions in all situations to maintain safety.
