X-Ray Technologist in Southern California

As a X-Ray Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures with a focus on high technical quality. You will obtain all relevant medical information from patients to identify age-specific needs and utilize proper radiation protection measures to safeguard patients from excessive radiation exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrates adherence to the Code of Conduct and compliance policies, addressing and reporting compliance questions, concerns, or suspected violations.
Obtains all relevant medical information from patients to identify age-specific needs.
Performs radiographic procedures with a focus on high technical quality.
Utilizes proper radiation protection measures to safeguard patients from excessive radiation exposure.
Demonstrates efficiency in using all equipment and promptly reports any deficiencies to the immediate supervisor.
Stocks x-ray rooms between exams and at the end of shifts to ensure readiness for subsequent procedures.
Conducts appropriate diagnostic procedures as ordered and assists Radiologists during procedures.
Takes on additional procedures during periods of heavy workload to maintain workflow efficiency.
Documents any changes in patient condition using appropriate forms.
Obtains appropriate medical history before patient examination and ensures patient readiness for the exam.
Performs receptionist and Radiology Assistant duties when necessary.
Produces radiographs and follows isolation techniques per policy and procedures.
Adheres to ALARA guidelines and applies Universal Precautions in all situations to maintain safety.
Produces films as needed to support diagnostic procedures.
Performs any other assigned duties as required by the supervisor.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of a radiologic technology program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) required.
Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) in Radiography (R) or a related field required.
Valid driver's license required.
