Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Research Engineer to join our team at Dominion Energy. As a key member of our Engineering Analytics & Modeling team, you will play a critical role in advancing our understanding of power systems and developing innovative solutions to complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis on power systems to identify areas for improvement and develop new technologies
  • Develop and implement advanced modeling and simulation tools to analyze power system behavior
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into operational practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform research and development efforts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with a focus on power systems
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree preferred
  • Strong background in power system fundamentals, including steady-state and dynamic stability analysis
  • Proficiency in Python and common Python scientific computing libraries
  • Experience with signal processing techniques, including Fourier transform and time-frequency analysis
