We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Medical Progressive Care Unit at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
About the JobAs a Nurse Practitioner on our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions throughout the patient's stay.
Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease management.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Order diagnostic tests, interpret results, and make informed decisions about patient care.
- Prescribe medications and therapies as needed, taking into account patient allergies, medical history, and current conditions.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- A valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Indiana.
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in a relevant specialty, such as Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Critical Care.
- Experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in a progressive care unit or similar environment.
