Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist, Float Full-Time Position at HUP

As a full-time Inpatient Unit Based Clinical Pharmacist, Float, you will play a critical role in our team's mission.
About the RoleThis position is responsible for preparing and dispensing medications, providing concise and timely responses to drug information requests, and ensuring continuity of pharmaceutical care to and from acute and ambulatory patient-care settings. You will also participate in the management of medical emergencies and adhere to medication-use policies and guidelines.
Responsibilities- Prepare and dispense medications using appropriate techniques to ensure outcomes of drug therapies and following health systems policies and procedures.
- Provide concise, applicable, and timely responses to drug information requests from healthcare providers and patients.
- Ensure continuity of pharmaceutical care to and from acute and ambulatory patient-care settings.
- Participate in the management of medical emergencies.
- Adhere to medication-use policies and guidelines.
- Current pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
- PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency or 2 years of practice (preferred).
- PGY-2 Pharmacy Practice Residency (preferred).
