Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled and knowledgeable Senior Auditor with experience in the Non-Profit sector. The Senior Auditor will play a crucial role in the preparation and evaluation of financial statements, executing internal audits, managing risks, and offering strategic financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning and execution of intricate financial audits to ensure adherence to established policies and regulations.
  • Assess and enhance the effectiveness of risk management and internal control systems.
  • Prepare and interpret financial statements and reports, providing recommendations for financial planning and oversight.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of historical financial data; evaluate and report on financial trends and projections.
  • Review and suggest improvements to accounting systems and processes.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of junior auditors or accountants during audit engagements.
  • Advise on financial risks and their potential impacts on the organization’s financial health.
  • Stay informed on changes in financial regulations and legislation that may influence the organization’s operations.
  • Enhance professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, and participation in industry associations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience in public accounting, internal auditing, risk management, and financial statement preparation.
  • Strong grasp of data analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Proficient in accounting software and financial databases.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • High standards of professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough understanding of auditing standards, procedures, laws, and regulations.
