Job Summary:

The Instructor will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive STEM programs to children aged 2-14. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different age groups and learning styles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead groups of students through curriculum-guided activities, promoting creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Manage student behavior, establishing and enforcing rules and procedures to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Encourage and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed to meet individual needs.
  • Prepare for each program by reviewing curriculum, watching training videos, and participating in face-to-face training sessions.
  • Handle inquiries from parents regarding program details and enrollment.
Requirements:
  • Criminal and child clearances must be current.
  • 2+ years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment.
  • Education degree or teaching experience recommended.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Program Details:
  • Weekday after-school and evening classes.
  • Weekend workshops and birthday parties.
  • Summer camps.
  • Special events and holiday workshops.

This is a part-time position, with varying hours depending on candidate availability and program schedules. Compensation is $45.00 per hour.
