Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at a manufacturing facility in Berea, KY. As a 2nd shift Welder, you will be responsible for setting up, tacking, welding, and allowing for material draw on major components, sub-weldments, and miscellaneous parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate welding equipment to produce high-quality welds
  • Position and clamp parts to ensure proper alignment and tolerances
  • Exercise care in welding to maintain a smooth even bead and check work for adherence to specifications
  • Adjust fixturing and check alignment, tolerances, appearances, locations, and parallelism as needed
  • Plan initial set up of carriage and upright to allow for material draw after welding
  • Read and make decisions from SOE's, OMS, shop orders, operation sheets, prints, diagrams, and written and verbal orders
  • Regulate current voltage pressure and maintain adherence to quality standards
  • Promote a safe work environment through safe behavior, safe operation of equipment, and proper use of PPE
  • Maintain general housekeeping and support and help enforce all company policies

Requirements:

  • A minimum of six months experience in welding
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Basic math skills and familiarity with welding techniques and blueprint reading
  • Physical ability to perform tasks related to this assignment
  • Safety knowledge in a manufacturing environment and proper use of PPE
