Position Overview

King County Library System (KCLS) is looking for two meticulous Library Pages to assist in the operations of the Bothell Library, part of the Alder Region. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth functioning of library services.

The Library Page role encompasses the organization and shelving of library resources efficiently and accurately. This position is crucial for maintaining the overall tidiness of the library by arranging books and materials on shelves and ensuring that public areas remain clean and orderly.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, possess the ability to sort materials in alphanumeric order, and effectively manage their time to enhance productivity.

Available Work Schedules:

Schedule 1:
Sunday - 4:00 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.
Monday - 2:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.
Tuesday - 2:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.
Wednesday - 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Schedule 2:
Sunday - 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Monday - 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Tuesday - 2:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Organize and shelve library materials to maintain order.
  2. Assist with the movement and processing of incoming and outgoing library materials.
  3. Support library operations including opening and closing procedures.
  4. Prepare meeting rooms and ensure necessary supplies are available.
  5. Inspect materials for damage and process accordingly.
  6. Assist with event setup and breakdown.
  7. Contribute to displays and special projects.
  8. Provide basic directional assistance to patrons.

Physical Requirements:
