Overview:
As a leading provider of indoor environment solutions, CoolSys is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Installation Supervisor to join our team. With over 150 years of experience, we offer a wide range of services, including HVAC and refrigeration installations, remodels, service and maintenance, and energy solutions. Our team of highly trained professionals serves customers in various markets, including retail, commercial, food service, educational, healthcare, and industrial.

Responsibilities:
The HVAC/R Installation Supervisor will be responsible for leading, training, and mentoring project crews, prioritizing and delegating tasks, communicating with tradespeople on the job site, and tracking project schedules to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely completion. This role will also serve as a lead technical resource on assigned projects, reporting on job status and performance, controlling job costs, and developing and maintaining productive relationships with peers, customers, general contractors, and subcontractors. Additionally, the supervisor will ensure compliance with installation policies and procedures, including project tracking, safety, time and attendance, and may oversee third-party resources. The role will also direct and oversee the work of apprentices and journeymen assigned to specific projects.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade program or technical school, with a college degree being a plus. A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial building construction or a related industry/trade is required, with commercial HVAC foreman experience being a must. The candidate must be willing to travel and work nights, with knowledge of construction principles and practices, including efficient use of labor hours. The supervisor must be able to organize tasks, use good judgment in making work assignments, give clear instructions and guidance, maintain project labor hours within acceptable limits, and request change orders as needed. The role requires the ability to ensure safe work practices, understand and follow all company policies and procedures, and all applicable state and federal laws. The supervisor must also be able to work with minimal supervision, have a track record of punctuality and dependability, and be able to use computer tools, including email, word, and project planning software.
