Key Responsibilities:

  1. Timely preparation and submission of necessary weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual documentation to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the FTZ Board.
  2. Handle daily FTZ admissions (e214), ensuring follow-up and resolution of 214 posting messages.
  3. Review and retrieve shipping documentation related to foreign receipts.
  4. Conduct research to validate foreign versus domestic receipts within the FTZ and ensure accuracy of FTZ data against actual documentation.
  5. Analyze and prepare weekly estimated entries (CF3461) and Customs entries (CF7501).
  6. Oversee the FTZ recordkeeping retention program, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and that all records are accessible for CBP review.
  7. Investigate and manage inventory discrepancies using the Warehouse Management System/FTZ Software, including receiving shipments and processing adjustments.
  8. Reconcile daily stock balances between the Warehouse Management System and FTZ System, reporting any variances.
  9. Manage in-bond transactions (inbound and outbound) from the FTZ (CF7512).
  10. Provide data analysis support to supply chain, customs, and logistics teams as required.
  11. Research and report shortages, filing discrepancy reports with relevant parties.
  12. Ensure that FTZ procedures are up-to-date and accurately reflect operational practices.
  13. Continuously assess current processes, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and support trade compliance activities.
  14. Conduct routine audits of FTZ operations, including customs filings, inventory control, and recordkeeping systems.
  15. Collaborate with Customs during compliance reviews, providing necessary information.
  16. Act as an internal resource for inquiries regarding import/export compliance.
  17. Perform additional duties as assigned based on project needs in supply chain, logistics, and trade compliance.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in FTZ administration.
  2. Relevant experience in customs compliance, international transportation, or logistics operations is advantageous.
  3. Strong understanding of the U.S. Foreign Trade Zones program, including compliance and best practices.
  4. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  5. Adept at problem-solving, data collection, and drawing valid conclusions.
  6. Self-motivated, able to work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  8. Exceptional organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  9. Knowledge of the Chinese language is a plus, but not required.
