Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI technologist with Level 1 trauma experience to join our team at Maine Medical Center - Portland. As an MRI technologist, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners and producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Develop and implement protocols for MRI procedures
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Provide exceptional patient care and ensure patient comfort and safety during MRI procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest MRI technology and techniques
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as an MRI technologist
  • Expertise with Philips MR systems
  • Experience in Level 1 trauma, anesthesia, ICU patients
  • Proficiency in neuro – spine, brain, brain perfusion, etc., and body imaging like abdomen, MRCP, kidney, pelvis
  • Proficiency in MSK imaging
Work Environment

We have 7 Philips MRI scanners located at different sites, and you will be working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of patients. You will be scheduled to work 3-12 hour shifts overnight on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with a weekly guaranteed hours of 36 and 36 weekend hours.
