Job Title: Travel MRI Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MRI Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment in Portland, Maine.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images of patients' bodies. They will work under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, utilizing their expertise and judgment to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Perform patient studies according to set protocol, including placing specified coils close to the area of interest.
  • Interview patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures and address their concerns.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
  • Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.
Requirements:
  • Two years of continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist, with proficiency in all duties required of a MRI Technologist II.
  • License in the required state.
  • BLS certification.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.
