Oncology Charge Nurse

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Oncology Charge Nurse to join our team at Presbyterian Healthcare Services. As a Charge Nurse, you will work under the direction of the Nursing Director to provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes, including patient flow, exceptional care experiences, quality processes, patient safety, and direction of unit staff in designated service areas.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift, utilizing the nursing process to prioritize the delivery of direct nursing care using time and resources efficiently.
- Work with patients who have, or who are at risk of getting, cancer, providing necessary assessments, administering treatments, and communicating with all patient care providers to help develop a plan tailored to each patient's needs.
- May provide direct patient care, responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift.
Requirements:
- Minimum One year of nursing experience required.
- Oncology Chemotherapy certification.
- Registered Nurse - State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
