Advanced Care Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Job SummaryWe're seeking an experienced Advanced Care Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Mill Valley, CA. As an Urgent Care Provider in a primary care setting, you'll play a critical role in managing patients' acute care concerns. This is a unique opportunity to blend your skills in urgent care with the benefits of a primary care environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage patients' acute care concerns in a primary care setting
- Perform a range of procedures, including STI diagnosis and treatment, staple removal, suture removal, pelvic exams, I&Ds, IVs, nebulizer treatment, URIs, coughs, bronchitis, UTIs, chest pain, abdominal pain, psychiatry screening and stabilization, etc.
- Maintain evidence-based knowledge and current proficiency in urgent care practice and procedures, as well as basic proficiency in primary care topics (hypertension, diabetes, depression/anxiety, etc.)
- Document physical exams, procedures, and in-office medications/prescriptions
- Completed an accredited FNP program or PA program with a national certification
- At least 2 years of experience in an urgent care or emergency care setting, or 1 year in an urgent care or emergency care setting coupled with 1 year in an outpatient primary care setting
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
- Ability to work at least 3 holidays a year
- Ability to work two full weekends per month (4 shifts)
- State licensed in California, obtained by your One Medical start date
