Overview

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing accounting functions, including overseeing bank transactions, revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and lease accounting. Your expertise will ensure that all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with US GAAP, supporting our mission to provide top-tier financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct monthly cash reconciliations and analyze weekly cash activities.
  • Prepare monthly closing journal entries and maintain reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Review and reconcile deferred revenue schedules to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
  • Ensure data alignment between Salesforce and NetSuite systems through thorough reconciliation.
  • File sales tax returns while ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
  • Manage sales tax compliance across various states and facilitate the setup of new states as required.
  • Oversee accounting for foreign entities and prepare necessary journal entries for elimination and transfer pricing.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles, including revenue recognition and lease accounting.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Act as the NetSuite ERP system administrator and liaise with external system consultants.
  • Assist in year-end audits and tax reporting processes.
  • Support acquisition diligence and integration efforts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in public accounting or 5 to 7 years in general ledger accounting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and accurate in work.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with NetSuite.
  • CPA certification.
  • Experience in public accounting.
  • Background in professional services or software industries.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
