Position Overview
As a pivotal member of Tential, the Cloud Solutions Architect will engage in a strategic role that blends mentoring with hands-on contributions. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct discovery sessions with business units to pinpoint challenges and objectives.
  • Lead architectural discussions to comprehend and define business requirements, proposing suitable solutions.
  • Formulate strategies, policies, and best practices for the deployment, management, and security of cloud-based solutions.
  • Guide business units in constructing scalable, fault-tolerant enterprise architectures.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of IoT cloud solutions, including custom applications, IoT/big data applications, security, and identity/access management.
  • Collaborate closely with business units to design and implement MVP solutions that validate digital value propositions.
Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience in the architecture, design, implementation, and support of multi-tenant, highly distributed applications.
  • Ability to articulate the ROI of various solution architectures effectively.
  • Familiarity with networking and data security in both cloud-native and hybrid environments.
  • Experience with a variety of data storage and access technologies, including SQL, NoSQL, timeseries, streaming, and data lakes.
  • Proficient in a mature SDLC across Development, Testing, QA, and Production environments.
  • Experience with cloud delivery using infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with modern development technologies such as microservices, containers, and messaging.
  • Understanding of and commitment to fostering a DevSecOps culture.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging trends.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in enterprise architecture, software design/development, or infrastructure/systems management.
  • Proven track record of delivering solutions at small, medium, and enterprise scales, with the ability to prioritize and execute efficiently.
  • Background in repeatable implementation and deployment models.
  • General knowledge of identity management and role assignments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
  • A passion for learning about emerging cloud technologies and a drive for problem-solving.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience leading the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-scale cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in IoT Product or IoT Service Delivery.
  • 3+ years of project management experience (PMO certification preferred).
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
