Job Title: Relay Engineer I

Job Summary:

KAMO Power, a leading provider of electrical power solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Relay Engineer I to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for applying advanced engineering techniques to design and implement substation relaying and metering systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply engineering principles to design and configure substation relaying and metering systems
  • Develop and implement NERC compliance strategies
  • Conduct reviews and analysis of substation operations
  • Configure and test communication equipment
  • Assist in developing SCADA system point lists
  • Provide on-site substation checkout and technical support
  • Perform basic financial analysis of design projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school
  • 1 year of experience in substation relaying and metering design
  • Strong knowledge of substation components, including protective relays, revenue meters, and communication processors
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SEL software, and Aspen software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
