The Internal Travel Program at SCL Health offers caregivers the chance to work in various locations across the Western Slope of Colorado, Denver Metro, and Montana regions. All travel assignments are structured in 14-week rotations.
Housing Assistance:
For assignments located 50 miles or more from your residence, housing reimbursement amounts will be determined based on the assigned site and receipts must be submitted within 30 days of the transaction.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Radiology Technologist, your duties will include: Producing x-ray images of designated body areas as instructed by the physician or radiologist, ensuring clarity and precision in the films.
You will position and guide patients through x-ray procedures, operate portable machines as needed by the Emergency Department and nursing units, and process films for radiologist interpretation in accordance with established protocols.Additionally, you will prepare and maintain patient rooms by changing linens, stocking supplies, and cleaning tables and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
You will also protect patients from unnecessary radiation exposure by utilizing lead shields and implementing various safety measures.Furthermore, you will assist in administering contrast agents by monitoring dosages and assessing potential allergies, ensuring adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
Maintaining accurate patient records is essential, which includes updating patient film jackets and filing reports or film files as necessary.
You will also be responsible for the upkeep of imaging and processing equipment by performing scheduled maintenance and documenting results, as well as notifying supervision of any equipment malfunctions.Qualifications:
A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Successful completion of an accredited radiological training program and the ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is essential.
A current license/certification in the state of practice is mandatory. A Basic Life Support Certification is required or must be obtained within one month of employment.
