Job SummaryWe're looking for licensed practical nurses (LPNs/LVNs) to provide high-quality patient care in the comfort of patients' homes. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work with patients of all ages, specializing in pediatrics.
Responsibilities- Provide and document skilled nursing care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, in accordance with the developed care plan and physician orders.
- Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
- Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs, reporting changes to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate.
- Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care in a timely manner.
- Participate in and update the nursing care plan.
- Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes.
- Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implement care to prevent risk or reduce risk.
- Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect both staff and patient according to OSHA standards.
- Educate patients and families regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Six (6) months of recent experience as a licensed nurse in a clinical care setting.
- Home health experience.
- Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English.
- Ability to travel.
- Ability to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance.
- Visual and hearing acuity.
- Flexible scheduling.
- Weekly pay.
