We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at SwedishAmerican. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mammographic imaging and patient care services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure high-quality images.
  • Implement radiation protection and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Prepare for and assist physicians in procedures, including breast biopsies, localizations, and breast aspirations.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and communication to ensure a positive patient experience.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (RT), Mammography (M), and Breast Sonography (BS).
  • Current license from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA).
  • CPR certification required within three months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of mammography experience and 6 months of breast sonography experience.
  • 3 years of mammography experience and 1 year of breast sonography experience.
