DaVita Inc. is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with end-stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in the healthcare industry. As a Patient Care Technician, you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to provide direct patient care, monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, and perform various technical duties.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
  • Perform various technical duties, such as setting up hemodialysis machines and mixing acid or bicarb
  • Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of clinicians, including nurses, dietitians, and social workers
  • Build long-term relationships with patients and their families
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Comfortable working around blood and needles
  • Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical and mental ability to work on your feet for extended periods
