Cardiac Anesthesiologist Opportunity in Portland, Maine

Spectrum Healthcare Partners is seeking board-certified/board-eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologists to join our esteemed team of physicians. We offer both full-time and part-time positions at Maine Medical Center, a 700-bed tertiary hospital and Level One Trauma Center.

With the opening of a new state-of-the-art cardiovascular medical tower in June 2024, the MMC cardiac service line is expanding to better meet the needs of northern New England.
- ABA board certification, Advanced PTE exam, and Cardiac Anesthesiology Boards required within 4 years of employment.
- We anticipate increasing our cardiac surgery (currently 1000 cases), structural heart, and EP volume by 80% over the next three years.
- Cardiac anesthesia cases include coronary revascularization, complex valve replacements, structural heart procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman), high-risk PCI, and heart failure surgery (ECMO, LVAD, Impella)
- We are committed to education and research with opportunities for both. Physicians are clinical faculty at the Tufts University School of Medicine and are integral to the education of our expanding MMC anesthesiology residency and fellowship programs. We also participate in research and quality improvement endeavors central to the mission of the cardiac and anesthesia service lines.
