Position Overview

The Wound Care RN is accountable for delivering all assigned nursing care activities, including wound management for patients across all age groups. The RN is expected to adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, care protocols, and the Diversified Clinical Services Practice Guidelines as directed by a Registered Nurse or Physician. Responsibilities also include participating in patient and wound care data conferences, with ongoing education mandated as determined by the Program Director.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: An Associate degree is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Licensure: Must possess a Registered Nurse license in North Carolina (or a compact state).

Certifications:

  • BLS certification is required.
  • ACLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Completion of the Healogics Wound Care Course is required within 6 months of employment.
Additional Requirements

1 year of experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
