Estimating Coordinator Job Description

At Commercial Contracting Corporation (CCC), we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Estimating Coordinator to join our team. As an Estimating Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting our estimating department during the bidding process for multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the estimating department, including processing bid documents, assembling and tracking correspondence, and coordinating with estimators, safety, and marketing teams.
  • Work closely with estimators to ensure accurate and timely bid submissions, including navigating customer- and owner-specific websites for access to bid documents and submission.
  • Assist with the printing of bid documents, including specifications and drawings, and perform a variety of administrative office support functions to ensure daily operations run efficiently.
  • Coordinate subcontractor databases for ongoing accuracy, providing estimators with a source of various trades for invite purposes, and track disadvantaged businesses in the database to meet RFQ participation requirements.
  • Assist in transitioning from estimating to project management when the quote process is successful and follow ISO 9001 and 14001 requirements for documentation and record-keeping.
Requirements:
  • Associate of Science in Mathematics degree (or equivalent) required.
  • Knowledge of the Construction Industry is desired.
  • Ability to work as a team member with multiple Estimators and Estimating Coordinators.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal/written) and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to provide various levels of support to a diverse group of estimators and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong mathematical skills and proficiency in Excel (advanced), Word (intermediate), Adobe Writer, Bluebeam, Pantera, and Outlook.
