About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Development Manager to join our Core Networking team. As a Network Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing teams that build, deploy and scale the Amazon networks that support AWS, customers, and other business units, across multiple global datacenters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive operational excellence in everything we do, creating processes and procedures to improve efficiency in our day-to-day tasks and projects.
  • Develop and implement high-quality, high-volume recruiting plans to attract top talent.
  • Represent your team/technical area to senior management, presenting root cause analysis and error correction from operational events.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of operational metrics to focus on areas that give us the best ROI.

About the Team

The InterDC Optical Services team is responsible for the development, delivery, and lifecycle support of the optical products used to interconnect AWS Data Centers and PoPs (Point of presence), ensuring diversity of supply and continually lowering data transfer cost for customers.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant degree/experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • 5+ years people management experience or relevant leadership experience, managing a team of 8+ individual contributors.
  • 3+ years of past experience with network engineering either as a manager or individual contributor.
