Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Sales Agent to join our team at Farmers Insurance Greater San Antonio Area. As an Insurance Sales Agent, you will be responsible for selling and promoting our insurance products to customers. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement sales strategies, build relationships with customers, and provide exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities
  1. Meet new business production goals and objectives as established.
  2. Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales.
  3. Develop ongoing networking relationships with Real Estate Agents, Mortgage Lenders, Title Companies, Auto Dealers, etc.
  4. Complete Evidence of Insurance requests.
  5. Develop new Financial Services opportunities.
  6. Ask each customer for referrals and explain our referral program.
  7. Treat each customer contact as a cross and up-sell opportunity including financial products.
  8. Verify phone numbers, addresses and email addresses with each customer contact and update customer information.
  9. Share training and education knowledge and expertise with team members.
  10. Thoroughly understand and follow all underwriting, rating and compliance requirements.
  11. Maintain knowledge of new products and services.
  12. Prospecting and generating new business through leads & referral sources.
  13. Cold call, direct email and perform other lead generation activities.
  14. Foster strong relationships with our customers to maintain a high level of client retention and product loyalty.
  15. Grow sales revenue by utilizing phone, email and potential client lists.
  16. Provides on-going support to insurance clients as needed.
  17. Presents and explains insurance policy options based upon prospective client needs and their personal goals.
  18. Attend training and continuing education courses.

  4. Create relationships from a cold start.
  5. Be a fantastic presenter.
  6. Proficiency to multi-task, follow-thru and follow-up.
  7. Excellent Communication/interpersonal skills.
  8. Confident, self-starter who works well independently.
  9. Prior Sales Experience.
  10. Must be highly self-motivated.
  11. Professional phone etiquette.
  12. Problem-Solving Capabilities.
