Peachtree Orthopedics is seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Technician to join our team. As a Medical Records Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of patient records, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and organize medical records and bills in accordance with professional standards and facility policies.
  • Provide copies of medical records and bills to patients, attorneys, insurance companies, and other authorized parties.
  • Process medical record requests, verify accuracy, and upload records into the electronic medical record system.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to emails, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Request offsite medical records and x-rays from storage companies as needed.
  • Cover for the courier when necessary.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of customer service experience in a high-volume medical practice.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of MS Word and electronic medical record systems.
  • Problem-solving abilities and adaptability in non-standardized situations.
