Peachtree Orthopedics is seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Technician to join our team. As a Medical Records Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of patient records, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and organize medical records and bills in accordance with professional standards and facility policies.
- Provide copies of medical records and bills to patients, attorneys, insurance companies, and other authorized parties.
- Process medical record requests, verify accuracy, and upload records into the electronic medical record system.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to emails, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Request offsite medical records and x-rays from storage companies as needed.
- Cover for the courier when necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of customer service experience in a high-volume medical practice.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of MS Word and electronic medical record systems.
- Problem-solving abilities and adaptability in non-standardized situations.
