Brevard Physician Associates (BPA) is in search of committed Physician Assistants to join our Emergency Division, dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services to the community. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee emergency interventions and patient triage.
  • Prescribe medications and administer treatments as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient issues and consultations.
  • Gather and assess patient histories to identify any irregularities.
  • Track patient progress and maintain comprehensive treatment records.
  • Conduct patient examinations and perform routine medical procedures.
  • Foster a trusting and compassionate environment for patients.
  • Embody and promote BPA's mission and organizational objectives as set by the executive committee.
  • Adhere strictly to medical regulations and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate efficiently with multidisciplinary team members.
  • Conduct physical examinations, diagnostic assessments, and screening tests.
  • Ensure patient care is delivered in a secure environment.
  • Engage in departmental Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives and support the resolution of identified challenges.
  • Work alongside Administration to facilitate collaborative problem-solving among staff.
  • Enhance staff and community knowledge through the coordination of educational in-services.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and scheduled provider discussions.
  • Maintain quality performance metrics.
  • Achieve predetermined productivity levels based on patient volume.
  • Ensure high levels of internal customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Active and clear Physician Assistant licensure.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department within a hospital setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
  • Proficient in the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of physical assessments and differential diagnoses.
Physical Demands:
  • Capability to stand or sit for extended periods, work in front of a computer, and use a keyboard for prolonged durations.
  • Able to navigate the department and hospital, lifting and carrying items up to 25 pounds independently.
