Join our team as a Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider (APP) at Johns Hopkins Medicine, where you will play a vital role in the care of critically ill neonates and infants.

The Neonatal APP, which includes both Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and Experienced Neonatal Physician Assistants, is responsible for comprehensive clinical management of high-risk neonates and infants. This multifaceted role encompasses:

  • Clinical oversight and management of patients
  • Educational initiatives for staff and families
  • Administrative responsibilities
  • Consultative services
  • Research implementation and participation

Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with medical professionals, nursing staff, and support services to ensure family-centered care. Continuous professional development and education are essential components of this role.

Work Schedule: 24-hour shifts, with a total of 7 shifts over a 4-week period.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing (Clinical NNP) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or a Master's in Physician Assistant Studies
  • Current licensure in Florida as an APRN or PA
  • Current certifications in BLS and PALS (or NRP in lieu of PALS for NNP)
  • Active Florida licensure as a Registered Nurse/Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or PA
  • National certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Experience Requirement: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a Level III or IV NICU setting is required.
