Regulatory Compliance Specialist and Logistics Coordinator

A highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist and Logistics Coordinator is needed to ensure seamless delivery of materials and equipment to laboratory and R&D facilities at Caris Life Sciences. This role plays a vital part in supporting lab operations and other departments, requiring a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and excellent logistical skills.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring timely and safe delivery of materials and equipment to laboratory and R&D facilities
- Processing receipts in the ERP system and stocking materials in designated storage areas
- Verifying deliveries and inspecting materials for damage
- Utilizing material handling equipment to safely transport materials
- Operating company vehicles and ensuring mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
- Following established SOPs and regulatory requirements for transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Documenting receipt and delivery of materials, following Caris Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication and relations with internal and external customers
Additional Responsibilities:
- Performing system transactions to reflect movement of materials and maintaining accurate inventory
- Receiving and putting away materials in stock rooms based on temperature requirements
- Pick up and delivering mail between buildings
- Completing pre and post trip inspections of company vehicles and communicating any need for repairs to the Logistics Supervisor or Manager
- Performing daily/weekly cleaning tasks and maintaining cleaning log
- Following established SOPs, work instructions/job-aides, and best practices related to receiving, inventory control, replenishment process, material transfer, courier, and logistics processes
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 6-12 months of experience in medical, materials management, warehousing, shipping, receiving or related fields
- 6-12 months of courier delivery experience
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Basic computer skills and experience using email and creating/replying to messages in a professional and timely manner
- Good communication skills and ability to work well independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1+ year of experience in medical, materials management, warehousing, shipping, receiving or related fields
- 1+ year of courier delivery service experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
- Knowledge of inventory management processes related to receiving, quarantine, material release, transfer, and forward replenishment
- Experience using ERP/WMS to receive POs and perform various inventory transactions
- Parcel shipping experience – packing shipments, creating shipping labels, and scheduling pickups
- Ability and willingness to train new and existing employees on safe material handling, loading, unloading, driving and delivery practices
- Transportation medical card
- Experience transporting materials in a regulated GMP/FDA regulated or diagnostic testing/pharmaceutical (CAP/CLIA) organization and environment
- Attention to detail and ability to catch discrepancies
- Self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills
- PC experience – data entry and communicating via email
- Works well in a team environment
- Ability to read and follow SOPs, process flowcharts, and work instructions/job-aides
- Safe driving skills, basic knowledge of DOT regulations, and traffic laws
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, walkie/stacker, forklift)
Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this role is $65,000 – $80,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Caris Life Sciences offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
Location
This role is based in the Caris Life Sciences headquarters in the United States. The ideal candidate will be able to commute to the office or work remotely as needed.
