Job Overview

Rosenthal Estate Wines is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Host/Greeter in our tasting room.

Position Summary

The Host/Greeter plays a vital role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. This position involves greeting guests, managing reservations, and providing exceptional service to enhance the overall tasting experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests upon arrival and manage their reservations or waitlist status.
  • Guide guests to their designated seating or waiting areas.
  • Provide menus or direct guests to digital options, introduce the serving staff, and share pertinent information.
  • Engage with guests to assess their satisfaction with the wine and service provided.
  • Support team members in various tasks throughout the tasting room as necessary.
  • Maintain an understanding of the tasting room layout, including seating arrangements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; or 1-2 years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced setting is preferred, particularly in hospitality, sales, or customer service.
  • Food Handler's card is mandatory.
  • TIPS Certification and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is required.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Flexible availability for work hours is essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • The role may require lifting and moving items weighing up to 10 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 40 pounds.

Compensation: $19.00 per hour plus tips.
