The Host/Greeter plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests visiting the tasting room. This position is responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and providing exceptional service to enhance the overall experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests upon arrival and verify reservations or add them to the waiting list as necessary.
  • Guide guests to their designated seating or waiting areas.
  • Provide menus or direct guests to digital options, inform them of their server, and share any pertinent details.
  • Engage with guests to confirm their satisfaction with the wine and service provided.
  • Support colleagues in various areas of the tasting room as required.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the tasting room layout, including seating arrangements.

Required Competencies:

  • Exhibit a high standard of professional integrity and ethical behavior.
  • Remain composed and calm in high-pressure situations.
  • Adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Effectively identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Consistently maintain excellent attendance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced setting is advantageous. Background in hospitality, sales, or customer service is preferred.
  • Food Handler's card is mandatory.
  • TIPS Certification and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification are beneficial.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is required.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Flexibility in work schedule is essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Compensation: $19.00 per hour plus tips.
