Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Perform assigned patient care and mobility tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse, making rounds on assigned units and coordinating patient care and mobility activities as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain patient activity assignment sheets and document patient care and mobility activities in the patient record, performing additional documentation as required.
- Activities of Daily Living: Perform assigned tasks to meet the personal and comfort needs of patients.
- Equipment/Supply Utilization: Maintain necessary supplies and equipment to promote patient care and mobility activities, cleaning equipment as needed and notifying supervisors of patient supply and equipment needs.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: One year of experience as a nursing assistant highly preferred.
- Skills: Maintain functional knowledge of equipment common to the unit, utilize and care for equipment on nursing units, and meet continuing education requirements, including CPR and unit-specific competencies.
- Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of skills training with eating, transferring, toileting, and mobility, and work side-by-side with PT, OT, ST upon evaluation of patient's ability/needs.
