Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise athletic leagues and events, including softball, baseball, soccer, and basketball
  • Assist with registration for all sports and maintain equipment and uniforms
  • Manicure ball fields and gym facilities, including painting floors and obtaining sponsorship for teams
  • Recruit and supervise seasonal workers for all sports
  • Maintain safety records and perform related tasks as required
Requirements
  • General knowledge of athletic programs and safety precautions
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the public
  • Ability to express ideas clearly both orally and in writing
  • Education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited community college with major course work in recreation or a related field
Working Conditions

This is medium work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme heat, and noise.
