Job Title: Assistant Nurse Manager

Albany Medical Center seeks an experienced and compassionate Assistant Nurse Manager to join our Post Surgical Division. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and supporting the development of our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and plan administrative, financial, and operational duties in collaboration with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division.
  • Mentor professional caregivers in the delivery of patient care and facilitate patient access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay.
  • Provide leadership and support to unit-based staff, ensuring competent and compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers, including referring facilities, hospital staff, and patients in inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
  • Collaborate with other service and department leaders to attain short- and long-term goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in nursing management and patient care coordination.
  • Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
