Job Summary

The Colony Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Wealth Advisor to join our team. As a Wealth Advisor, you will be responsible for providing high-touch comprehensive wealth management services to high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with senior partners to lead relationships with high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients.
  • Construct and oversee all aspects of managing multiple client relationships, including complex analysis and related research related to financial, estate, income tax, and investment planning.
  • Develop and present solutions across the spectrum of wealth management disciplines for existing and prospective clients.
  • Provide tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and their related entities.
  • Document meetings, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Oversee implementation of agreed-upon recommendations.
  • Coordinate with members of the client's advisory team, including portfolio managers and operations, tax advisors, estate counsel, and other professionals.
  • Ongoing monitoring and management of the client's wealth management plan.
  • Coordinate and actively participate in client meetings.
  • Further develop an advanced understanding of investments, insurance, taxation, and estate planning, as well as the Company's approved investment strategies.
  • Communicate the full range of the Company's services and capabilities to clients and prospective clients.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Achieving or a candidate for at least one of the following advanced degrees or designations: CPA, JD, LLM, MST, or CFP.
  • An understanding of matters related to income, gift, and estate taxes, investments, employee benefits, insurance, and personal and philanthropic wealth transfer strategies.
  • Great interpersonal and process management skills.
  • Analytical expertise, notable attention to detail, and self-initiated follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with C-suite level corporate executives, private equity partners, and/or venture capital partners.
