The Staffing Coordinator plays a vital role in managing the staffing and scheduling of nursing services within the skilled nursing facility, providing essential administrative support. This position reports directly to the Director of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare weekly staffing reports, maintain a list of employees requesting position and shift modifications, address staffing shortages, and liaise with agencies to fill open positions. Manage daily staffing challenges.
  • Calculate daily patient per day (PPD) metrics for the nursing department.
  • Assist Employee Health, Nursing Education, and Human Resources in coordinating annual physicals and training sessions for staff.
  • Provide clerical support, including document preparation and distribution to nursing units.
  • Support the completion of time and attendance records.
  • Update and maintain work schedules.
  • Manage databases and maintain computerized records.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Licenses/Certification: Not Applicable

Experience: A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of clerical experience is preferred, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) being advantageous.

This position is designated as Safety Sensitive.
