Role Description
The LPN will contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, ensuring the highest standards of safety and satisfaction. Responsibilities include:
- Gathering data for assessments in accordance with established practices and unit standards.
- Addressing the physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and their families throughout their care journey.
- Facilitating patient and family education, as well as discharge planning during hospitalization.
- Delivering direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures, in line with policies and procedures.
- Assessing the effectiveness of nursing interventions and adjusting care plans based on patient responses.
- Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to proactively address patient needs.
- Engaging in unit-based decision-making to utilize evidence-based practices.
- Providing input for performance evaluations of care delivery team members.
- Mentoring and guiding new staff and students in a supportive manner.
This role is primarily conducted in a clinical setting, with accountability for fulfilling job-specific obligations and adhering to organizational policies and procedures. The responsibilities outlined are not exhaustive but represent essential functions necessary for success in this position.
Position DetailsHours: 7pm - 7:30am, with shifts every other weekend and holiday.
Experience in Cardiac care is preferred, with a willingness to learn and grow in a specialized surgical unit.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Intermediate Nursing Care and a commitment to delivering exemplary patient outcomes and experiences.
Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (Required).
Licensure: Licensed Practical Nurse - Default Issuing Body; Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body.
