LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Advanced Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry Unit

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Advanced Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry Unit. Responsibilities- Contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, promoting adaptive responses to achieve the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
- Exhibit compassionate care during patient-nurse interactions, coordinating patient care and interaction of staff to meet the qualifications to provide care for patients in their assigned unit.
- Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care, reinforcing patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning throughout hospitalization.
- Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, according to policy and procedure, evaluating the effectiveness of nursing interventions and plan of care based on patient response to interventions.
- Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members to proactively resolve and facilitate patient needs, participating in unit-based decision-making regarding the utilization of evidence-based practice.
- Provide input to the manager for performance appraisals of care delivery team members, precepting and mentoring new staff and students in a professional, positive manner as assigned.
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required)
- Certification(s) and License(s): Licensed Practical Nurse - Default Issuing Body; Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
